The Model Atelier Models Take the Runway at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Sri Lanka 2026

Colombo’s fashion calendar reached a high point this October as Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Sri Lanka returned to Cinnamon Life, City of Dreams. The Model Atelier was proud to see its represented models take to the runway, bringing Sri Lankan designers’ ideas to life with presence, poise and individuality.

Held from 7 to 11 October, the 2026 edition brought designers, models and fashion audiences together for five days of runway shows and events. Presented by the Academy of Design (AOD) and powered by DIMO, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Sri Lanka continues to give local design talent a platform in Colombo. Official event site, Daily FT

TMA talent on the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week runway

A runway show is a collaboration between the designer’s vision and the people who present it. The Model Atelier’s models represented the agency on the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Sri Lanka runway, adapting to each look and helping audiences experience the collections as they were intended.

For the models, fashion week calls for more than a confident walk. It takes focus, timing and the ability to communicate a design through movement. A platform for Sri Lankan fashion

This year’s programme brought together established labels and emerging designers. Coverage of the event highlighted collections by designers and labels including Buddhi Batiks by Darshi Keerthisena, Charini by Charini Suriyage, King + Lois, Onali Silva, T.S.S. by Thilini Silva, Natharlea and Swanee.
