1.Who we are

themodelatelier.com is issued and operated by The Model Atelier, of Colombo, Sri Lanka (the “Agency”, “we”, “us”). References to “you” are to anyone using this site, whether as a visitor, a prospective client, or an applicant.

2.What this site is for

This site exists so that clients can view the models we represent and enquire about booking them, and so that prospective models can apply for representation. It is a presentation of our board and an invitation to contact us — it is not a shop, and nothing on it constitutes an offer capable of acceptance.

3.Using the site

You may browse the boards and use the forms for their intended purpose. You may not:

• copy, scrape, mirror, or systematically extract any part of the site, whether manually or by automated means;
• use any content from the site to train, fine-tune, or evaluate a machine-learning model;
• submit an application or enquiry in someone else's name, or upload photographs of a person who has not agreed to it;
• attempt to gain access to any part of the site, the admin area, or the underlying data that is not openly available to you.

4.Photographs and intellectual property

The photographs on this site belong to the models they depict, to the photographers who made them, and to the Agency, according to the arrangements between us. They are published here for one purpose: so that clients can cast and book. Any other use — reproduction, republication, editing, redistribution, or use as training data — requires our written permission.

Booking a model does not transfer any rights in the imagery on this site. The rights you receive for a job are the ones written into the booking agreement for that job, and no others. Usage beyond what that agreement grants — different media, longer duration, wider territory — is a separate negotiation.

5.Model information and availability

Measurements, portfolios, and availability change constantly, and we update them as quickly as we reasonably can. Nothing on the boards is a guarantee that a model is available, and a booking exists only once we have confirmed it in writing. Where a model is shown as out of town, their details remain on the board because they can often still be booked — ask us.

6.Applications

Applying does not create any relationship between us. We review every application and contact the applicants we wish to meet; we are not able to reply individually to everyone. Submitting an application does not oblige us to offer representation, and it does not oblige you to accept it if offered.

If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must complete the application on your behalf and give their consent. See section 9 of our privacy notice.

7.Availability and accuracy

We provide the site as it is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of omissions, and we may change, suspend, or withdraw any part of it without notice.

8.Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, business, or opportunity, arising from your use of this site.

9.Privacy

How we handle the information you give us through this site is set out separately in our privacy notice, which forms part of these terms.

10.Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. The version published here is the one that applies, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed.

11.Governing law

These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of this site, are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
